Grid Tied Inverter

Mounting Structure

Array Junction Box
Array Junction Box is used for combining all the incoming lines from the solar panel Strings to a common point. Main functional features of the Array Junction Box: Array Junction Box has mainly three duties to be performed, To Block the reverse flow of current from the Grid to solar panels during nights To obstruct the sudden surges due to lightening strokes during cloudy and rainy conditions. To provide a facility to isolate the strings of the Solar panels during maintenance to avoid unnecessary hazards.
AJB shall have terminals of bus-bar arrangement of appropriate size; Junction boxes have a suitable cable entry with suitable gland arrangement for both input and output cables. A suitable marking on the bus bars is provided to identify the bus bars etc. Suitable ferrules are also provided to identify interconnections.
Every AJB has a suitable arrangement of Reverse Blocking diode connected in such a manner that the diode is mounted on a proper heat sink so as to Increase the life of diode. Suitable Surge Arrester is also installed in AJB for protection purpose. Cable interconnection arrangement is within conduit pipe on saddles installed properly. The cable connections are done so simple to find out the faults easily.
The conduits are laid on roof or ground depending on the site; the conduits are on cable tray or appropriate civil structure which should be at least four inches above roof / ground level. The AJB are provided with the suitable arrangement to fix to the MS Structure firmly against environmental striking.
